Comely Bank is a friendly, comfortable B&B in the lovely village of Braemar, Royal Deeside.Good quality beds, log fires, enormous breakfasts and a traditional Highland welcome all combine to make you feel at home.

All rooms have fully controllable central heating, a well stocked hospitality tray, a welcoming bowl of sweeties, and lovely mountain views. There's a charming riverside garden with patio area for sitting out on warmer days, and a very cosy lounge with log fires for when the temperature drops a little.We have a well-stocked bookcase for visitors' use if you want to spend a quiet day relaxing.

Many attractions are within a short drive from the Village. The most famous is, of course, Balmoral Castle, which is open in the summer for visitors to visit the wonderful exhibitions, wander the charming grounds and gardens, and have a snack or lunch in the very reasonably priced restaurant, which also houses the gift shop.

For those who enjoy walking, be it a short stroll or a serious excursion into the wilderness, you will be spoilt for choice here. Walking opportunities vary from a half-hour gentle walk through pinewoods, to full-day (or even longer!) treks into the imposing Cairngorm Mountains. Whatever your preference, a must is a visit to the pinewoods to see our wonderful Red Squirrels, which are in particular abundance here. Don't forget your camera!

Wildlife watching with the chance to see red deer, golden eagles and rare red squirrels. Salmon and brown trout fishing. Mountain biking, pony trekking, ski-ing. And, of course, just relaxing and enjoying the views.
