Croagh Patrick colloquially called 'The Reek' has been a place of pilgrimage for 1500 years. It is renowned for its Partrician Pilgrimage in honour of Irelands national apostle, Saint Patrick. Every year people travel from all over the world to climb to its summit, not only for religious purposes but also to view the splendour of "Clew Bay".
Westport Town itself has much to offer the visitor the only problem is where to begin! One of the most popular destinations is Westport Golf Course which is an 18 hole championship course considered to be one of the best in Ireland. Plus there is a golf driving range close by.
