Matthew and Bob (Bob being my rescued border collie) warmly invite you to come and stay in our friendly & informal little Bed & Breakfast Situated in the center of the lively market village of Chaillac.
In our recently renovated village house that used to be the servant’s accommodation for the 15th centaury Chateaux opposite we hope we have created a warm and homely atmosphere were you could relax and have a comfortable stay. Soaking up the sun on the terraces with a nice cold beer or a glass of wine or two, We would like you to think of our house as your house for the time you are with us.
As well as giving you a room for he night we can all so offer you a great three course dinner or lunch as in my former life I was a head chef and have worked all over the world so it should be no problem finding some thing to tantalize your taste buds. My ingredients are always local and as much as possible Organic
Situated in a quiet road, a stroll away from the village square in Chaillac, a few minutes drive from junction 20 of the A20 autoroute. At the south of the department of L’indre on the borders of the Limousin, a short drive from Argenton sur Creuse,Montmorillon, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine,the perfect situation for your holiday or an over night stop.

At Chaillac Bed and Breakfast we can offer a choice of four guest bedrooms
There is the Asian room with its sumptuous chocolate leather double bed and sofa plus original Chinese lacquered wardrobe and bedside cabinets, and Authentic Asian works of art. It has its own bathroom that has bath with a shower and WC
Then there is the Red Room with its Tasteful decoration and beautiful oak parquet flooring and comfortable double bed and views over the terrace and surrounding area
It’s a great room for a good nights sleep or just to kick back and relax in. it has its own bathroom with large shower modern sink unit and WC.
Then we have the Guest floor that is as it sounds the whole top floor of the house with
2 lovely and very comfortable double bedrooms that share a bathroom that has a great shower sink unit and WC.
This floor is great for families or friends that wish to be all together we can also fit in an extra single bed so we can sleep up to 5 people on this floor

Attractions In Chaillac there are plenty of attractions
Chaillac has plenty to offer visitors, the beautiful Lac de Rochegaudon, just 5 minutes walk from the house, comprises two large lakes both excellent for fishing, permits are available in the village and cost 5€ for a day.
Waterslide Lac de Rochegaudon
The large beach has a supervised swimming area with a waterslide. Well maintained grounds, children’s play area and café. In summer the spectacular firework display at the lake is not to be missed.

The village has a lovely old church, two café bars, an excellent restaurant, bakery, butcher and pharmacy all based around the village square, which on a Wednesday is the site of a small market. Chaillac has a post office, mini supermarket also an English speaking local vet who is always happy to provide the necessary treatments and paperwork for animals traveling back to the UK with Pet Passports.

Leave your car in the car park and go on foot into the old town or you will miss a store of treasures.
