Bed & Breakfast in our beautiful country house in the Perigord Noir region of the Dordogne. Surrounded by 5 acres of grounds a haven of peace and tranquility yet convenient for all the main places of interest in the area.

We have 5 ensuite bedrooms all with lovely views over the wooded grounds. There is a sitting room and dining room with french windows which open onto a south-facing terrace with plenty of tables, chairs and parasols. The terrace is the ideal place to enjoy our buffet breakfast - fruit, cereals, cheese, yoghurts and fresh bread and pastries - or to enjoy that last glass of wine.

The terrace overlooks the SWIMMING POOL (pool towels are provided daily at no additional cost) With full sun all day a perfect place to read that book you have always promised yourself.

We are just 15 mins from LES EYZIES with its many restaurants and pavement cafes. Here is also the National Museum of Pre-History and the famous caves with their cave paintings.

The market town of LE BUGUE is also 15 mins away with its large Tuesday market and again a good choice of restaurants.

Just a short drive are both BERGERAC with its wine region where you can sample the local wines or SARLAT a lovely medieval town with winding streets and attractive shops for those gifts to take home.

The Dordogne region has something for everyone whatever your age.

All our rooms are ensuite and are furnished to a high standard. Four rooms with showers and one with a bath. We have one ground-floor triple room and charge an additional 20 euros per night (inclusive of breakfast) for use of the third bed.

Our home is just outside the pretty village of of Mauzens Miremont with extensive views of the surrounding woods and hills. Ideal for that early morning walk along the quiet lanes.

Attractions

For the more energetic hire a canoe and explore either the Vezere or Dordogne rivers. With horse riding, mountain biking and long country walks the scenery is varied so ideal for the amateur photographer. We have even had guests take a hot air balloon trip.

68 euros per night for a double room which is inclusive of a buffet breakfast based on stays of three nights or more

78 euros per night for a double room when staying just one or two nights.

We require a 25% deposit on booking which can be paid in sterling by a UK cheque then the balance to be paid at the end of your stay either in Euro cash or Euro Travellers Cheques.

Good acess via the Auto Route A20. Bergerac Airport (with its low cost flights by Ryanair and Flybe from the UK)is only 45 minutes away and now has flight from many all over the UK. Bordeaux, Limoges and Toulouse are also possible alternatives.
