La Cachette B&B is close to Sarlat and Domme, in the heart of the beautiful Dordogne. Situated in a small hamlet, overlooking the village of Grolejac, with wonderful views across to the Dordogne Valley. The river Dordogne winds its way past the village. Breakfast is served on the terrace or in the beamed salon with log burning fire out of season. Guests have use of a sunny terrace where they can enjoy a glass of wine and take in the view. There is also a shady, terraced garden to relax in. Perfect for couples who enjoy beautiful scenery and interesting places to visit. |

We have named our rooms after two of the local chateaux. Both rooms are large comfortable doubles (one room having an additional single bed) with exposed beams and seating area. Hairdryer in each room. |

The village of Grolejac is a couple of minutes walk and offers: 2 restaurants (one on the lake), an excellent cycle path with bike hire in Summer, tennis court, a large lake which is safe for swimming with a sandy beach and canoe hire on the river Dordogne, which winds it way past the village. Horse riding and golf course are close by. |

Attractions The Perigord Noir has so much to offer; historic bastide vallages, chateaux, picturesque villages clinging to rock faces, prehistoric caves with paintings and grottes. We are situated in the "golden triangle" close to medieval Sarlat, Domme, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Rocamadour and the Vezere Valley. There are many restaurants in medieval Sarlat and Domme and more in the surrounding villages. Sarlat's famous market is held on Saturdays with a smaller artisan market on Wednesdays |
