It's a serene place, great for people that need to rest and want peaceful surroundings. 6 Km of golden sandy beach for long walks along the shore or hiking to the hills that surround it. The well known fishing village of Nazare is nearby and can be seen at the end of the beach.

Stretching from Lisbon to Fiqueira da Foz, Portugal’s Costa de Prata (Silver Coast) is a gem of largely undiscovered beauty and gets its name from the effect of the sun on the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Praia do Salgado is located between Nazaré and São Martinho do Porto. This long sandy beach is surrounded by the heights of Serra da Pescaria and Serra dos Mangues, and is one of the favorite spots for ultra-lights and paragliding fans. Naturism is accepted in the area north of the parking lot after a large sand dune. Beach with assistance and life-guards during summer season.
