Large, well-appointed gite in a semi-detached house close to all the attractions of the Vendee coast, the Marais (Green Venice), chateaux and towns. It comprises two bedrooms, dining room, salon, kitchen and shower room.
Our old stone house is on a quiet road that leads to Lucon, one of the nicest towns in the area, and is close to a small village where we have our own chateau and you can buy bread at the bar/tabac, or a pizza at the take away van on Wednesday evenings.
In Lucon we have five supermarkets, plus lots of shops to wander round. The cathedral is well worth a visit.
The nearest towns of Fontenay le Comte, La Roche sur Yon and La Rochelle are all worth spending time in.
In the salon there is TV with video and DVD player, with plenty to watch, or books to read and puzzles and games.
The dining room is well furnished in pine and has original stone walls.
The main bedroom has a double bed, and will accomodate either another single bed, or cot. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the salon.
The kitchen has a full sized gas cooker, fridge, microwave and storage.
Use of a washing machine is available on request.
There is a large rear garden with many fruit trees (help yourself to the fruit if there is any ripe), garden table and chairs with sunshade, BBQ and garden games, plus use pf the owners' 28ft swimming pool. Children need to be accompanied by an adult at all time. Safe parking is available on the premises.
Near us are all the beaches you could wish for, from La Faute, which is pretty quiet to Les Sables d'Olonne, much livelier. We have Puy de Fou, a great theme park, Indian Forest where you can wak among the treetops and plenty of chateaux, markets and other places to visit.

SALON. Furnished with comfortable chairs and sofa bed. There is a TV with a video and DVD players and plenty to watch, although no French or English channels yet. There is a fireplace, if you are here out of season, but hopefully you won't need it in the summer.
DINING ROOM. This is furnished in pine, with table and chairs, dresser and captains chest for your nick nacks.
KITCHEN. You will have a full sized gas cooker, fridge and microwave. You have electric kettle and toaster, plus storage.
SHOWER ROOM. This has a large shower, wash basin and toilet.
MAIN BEDROOM. There is a double bed, chest and wardrobe. The room is big enough for either a single bed or cot, if you need it.
SECOND BEDROOM. There are bunk beds and a chest and hanging space for your clothes. |

Contact us to find out availability, by phone or email. We ask for a £50.00 deposit on booking and the balance four weeks before your arrival. We accept euros or sterling cheques if this is easier.
During July and August we accept only Saturday to Saturday bookings, but are happy to consider other start days out of season.
Linen will be provided, except for swimming towels. |
