Our Gite 'Le Carabi' is situated in the courtyard of our B&B/Chambres D'Hotes, La Jolie Maison, in the charming rural village of Le Langon, Vendee, Pay De La Loire.(not far from La Rochelle)
It was once the Stables of the Village Doctor's Horse 'Carabi' and we have very tastefully converted it in to a spacious & bright Holiday Appartment. It Sleeps 4 very comfortably, but can fit another one in on the Sofa bed if needed.
We have created our gite for people with Mobility Problems, hence we have a very spacious downstairs bedroom a wonderful wheel-in wetroom, with easy access sink. All our door widths have wheelchair access and light switches are at regulation heights.

There is a comfy lounge with TV (including English Satelite)& DVD player. A very well equiped Kitchen, with large Fridge/Freezer, washing machine, Microwave, Oven & Coffee maker.
Downstairs, a wonderful wetroom & also a twin bedroom. Upstairs, there is a light and airy Mezzanine Bedroom with Double Bed.

Outside, there is a private & secure parking area & we have also created a private garden & terrace, especially for the Gite in our own large Garden, for your exclusive use, for those family BBQ's or just a quiet romantic time, enjoying a bottle of wine (or two!!)
We also have a large above-ground swimming pool, which is available to all our guests, including use of the sun-beds.
Also, there is a table tennis table, Badminton & Bike hire
We can also offer you Evening Meals, when our dining room at La Jolie Maison is serving, at very competitive rates. We try to cater for most diets,vegetarians welcome. please ask for further details when sending your booking enquiry.

If you are traveling by motorway (A83) you can exit on;
Exit 7, follow route to La Rochelle, D137, Just after passing through a village called St-Gemme-la-Plaine, you arrive at a roundabout, Lucon to your right, Fontenay to your left, go left, D949, follow road through various small villages, you will reach Mouzeuil st Martin, go past La Poste (on your left) almost opposite is a turning to Le Langon, head down there for about 3km, (you will go over a railway line)
Enter Le Langon, you will reach a T junction, with 'the Square' opposite, Cafe de Sport on your left. Turn left here, you will then come to a sharp left hand bend, & La Jolie Maison is on you right, just off of the bend, look for the large green gates.
Exit junction 8, go left at roundabout, heading for La Rochelle, follow this road, D968, until you come to a right hand turning to Le Poire sur velluire D68.
Follow road through villages, approx 8km, you will come into Le Langon, you will then reach a tricky T-junction, turn left here, follow road round, La Jolie Maison is on the Left hand side before you turn into a sharp Right hand bend, just before reaching the square.
