Set within a large, walled, south-facing garden and restored to an exceptionally high standard to combine country charm with modern chic, the gites have exposed beams and the original thick walls help keep them cool in summer. Throughout, you will find tasteful furnishings,traditional painted furniture, decorative items and soft furnishings. The hand painted kitchens have all you need - dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer (where you will find a bottle of chilled champagne awaiting you), electric cooker with hob, microwave etc. There is an open plan dining area with dresser, table and chairs for 6 overlooking the garden. The sitting room has a large 3-seater sofa and 2 armchairs, English Satellite TV, DVD and CD player,abundance of toys and books.as well as on site playmates, our young children.Each gite has WIFI INTERNET CONNECTION.Both gites sleep 6 comfortably. A full size cot, stair gates and plenty of baby equipment are available if you need them |
Both of our gites sleep 6 comfortably, no bunks or sofa beds in sight! Upstairs you have superb views of the pool and gardens and neighbouring fields of sunflowers. We have provided a King size bed in the master bedrooms, a double for bedrooms 2 and twins for bedrooms 3. Children and babies are very well catered for. A full size cot, stair gates and plenty of baby/child equipment are at your disposal should you need it. There is a large modern family bathroom /WC upstairs and a shower room with WC downstairs, so there’s no need to queue! For winter or longer lets our gites are open all year round are heated throughout. And finally, what else do we offer? Hospitality in abundance, a home from home and a very warm welcome. We have been resident in France for 4 years and have lots of local knowledge to share. We can recommend plenty of restaurants from low key and casual to gourmet dining and will make reservations for you. Special rates for longer lets. |

Attractions Bar/Restaurant within a short walk. The local village offers all amenities including restaurant/bar and shops. St Jean d'Angely has a colourful twice weekly market selling fresh regional produce. It has pretty cobbled streets to stroll around with medieval timber framed buildings. The large Atlantys aquatic centre offers indoor swimming with water slide and baby pool or you can take a canoe or kayak at the lake. Beautiful beaches are under an hour away. Saintes offers plenty of culture for the beach weary with the opportunity of riverside lunches and boat trips. La Rochelle is unmissable for shopping, dining and visiting the state of the art Aquarium. There are several beautiful islands to see - ile de re being the smallest but very picture postcard. Oleron has a stunning beach set amongst the pine forests. Visit the Cognac distilleries and discover Eau de Vie - the water of life! The award winning zoo at Royan ranks high for child friendly days out. |
