The front door opens into a large lounge/dining room (47 Sqm). The old original open fireplace is retained with the hearth consisting of one huge granite slab with buit in fireside seating. The original oak beams frame the roof of the lounge. Across the lounge, doors lead off to a terrace and the garden beyond. A large oak table seats up to 8 persons.
The TV Lounge is entered from the right side of the main lounge. This part of the longère forms a separate guest wing which can only be accessed at the ground floor level. This pine beamed lounge contains a TV with DVD and a supply of films. There is an oak sofa-bed that can sleep an additional two persons if required. Above the TV Lounge is a twin bedded room.
The kitchen is located in a separate room to the left of the lounge. The kitchen has been refitted to modern standards while retaining the exposed beams, and in a style sympathetic to the age of the longère. It contains a gas cooker with extractor hood, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, fitted cupboards, double bowl sink, wine rack, and a breakfast kitchen table with four chairs.
The Master Bedroom is large (32 Sqm) and has exposed beams and a double bed. There are two bedside tables, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. A dormer window provides views to the rear garden and a Velux window to the front garden. A cot and matress are provided if required.
The Goose Bedroom is a long narrow room at the front of the cottage with both a dormer window and a Velux window. This contains two single beds, a bedside table and chest of drawers, together with the Goose night light that gives this room its name! A wardrobe is located on the landing outside the room.
The ground floor has traditional glazed floor tiles throughout. The ground floor lounges have natural rush matting. The upstairs bedrooms and landing have oak parquet flooring.

The property stands in over 1 acre of garden, which is fenced at the rear and hedged at the front. The front and rear borders are planted with a variety of climbing roses, shrubs, lavender, herbs, hydrangea, and trees. In the rear garden there is a small orchard of mixed fruit trees including cherry, apple and pear. There is also a sweet chestnut that grows in the hedgerow of the field but crops in our garden. These trees can provide welcome shade from the sun in the mid-summer months. If holidaying in the autumn, you are welcome to help yourselves to any windfall. In October/November you can collect chestnuts from the garden and roast them on the wood burning fire!
Outside seating and barbecue provided.![]()
